Dear AIM family,

As many of you already know, the city of Busan raised the social distancing level to 2.5 after a continuous rise in the number of new cases each day.

Consequently, Sooyoungro Church, is converting once more to ONLINE ONLY worship until further notice. What that means for AIM is that our Sunday worship, KFC worship, and all other discipleship classes will be held exclusively online and through Zoom.

You can access the AIM online services through our YouTube Channelwww.youtube.com/c/AIMBusan . We would also encourage you to subscribe to the AIM KakaoTalk Channel @aimbusan and visit the AIM website at www.aimbusan.org to get the latest updates.

It would have been so wonderful to be able to worship together as we end this troubling year; celebrating Christmas and ringing in the New Year together as we have always done. It breaks my heart not to be able to do that with all of our AIM family this year.

However, it is my prayer that through all the difficulties we’ve faced this year, and all that still lies ahead of us, we would come out of these having been strengthened in our faith.

Romans 5 teaches that for us Christians the suffering we go through in this world, does not break us down or bring us into despair. But as we hold on to God’s Word, as we draw near to Him in prayer, as we persevere in faith, our suffering is able to produce endurance, character, and hope in us. How is this possible? It is because of the grace in which we stand and the hope that we have through our Lord Jesus Christ.

So, dear brothers and sisters, as we remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ this Christmas season, may it be a reminder to us, of the grace that has been poured out so richly over us. I pray in the midst of our dire circumstances, we will be able to rejoice all the more gladly in the hope of the glory of God.

May the joy of Christmas ring ever so loudly through us, in our homes, in our work places, and in our neighborhoods this year.

On behalf of AIM pastors,

Grace and peace,

Pastor Joe Son

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith  into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:1-5
